| Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. In more than 160 countries worldwide, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 30,000 Rotary
clubs.
Rotary International began in Chicago
in 1905. It is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit service
organizations in the world. It is comprised of nearly 1.3 million
members working in over 31,000 clubs in 163 countries. Rotary members
initiate community projects that address many of today’s most critical
issues such as violence, AIDS, hunger, the environment and health
care.
